  • “Em was a real delight to work with. She was patient, kind, hugely encouraging and professional throughout. Her practical tips and most definitely her encouraging words (a real gift!) very much helped me through the early days of my new role.”

  • “Em has developed a strong sense of trust and is compassionate without judgement. Her coaching is thoughtful and responsive…she’s created a safe space, and her lack of judgement encourages me to listen to myself with less judgement.”

  • “It was important for me to find a coach who understands the specific challenges of working as a creative freelancer in the arts. Em brings a wealth of industry experience to her coaching and helps me get to the heart of the matter in a way that always values me as an artist.”

  • “My coaching with Em came at a crossroads in my life and such a critical point. Her compassion, warmth, inspiration and down-to-earth approach meant I could completely relax and share the whole picture, which in turn gave me the opportunity to see it too. She guided me gently and firmly to see the power I had.”

  • “Em is straightforward, compassionate and insightful and always knows which question to ask to help me find my way to a deeper understanding of my life and work.”

Life Coaching

Supportive, focused space to think clearly and move forward with intention

Together we’ll explore what matters most to you, recognise any patterns that may be holding you back and consider new approaches to your work, creativity or life. Sessions combine thoughtful conversation with practical reflection, helping you develop awareness, confidence and momentum.

Coaching can take place over a short period to focus on a specific issue, or over a longer stretch of time to support deeper change and development.

Three Sessions

Short-term coaching is useful when you want focused support around a particular question, decision or transition, offering a clear, practical space to reflect and move forward.

Issues might include:

  • Thinking through a change in your work or life

  • Preparing for a new challenge or opportunity

  • Developing confidence in your voice, communication or presentation

  • Finding clarity about your next steps

  • Breaking through a period of feeling stuck

After three sessions we’ll review where you’ve got to, and can of course continue to work together if appropriate.

Longer-Term Coaching

I usually recommend a block of six sessions to allow for deeper exploration and ongoing support as you develop new perspectives and practise new ways of being and working.

Over time we can:

  • Clarify longer-term goals

  • Explore and update your values and purpose

  • Notice patterns and habits that shape how you work and relate to others

  • Experiment with new approaches to practise between sessions

  • Build confidence, presence and self-trust

  • Support longer professional, life or creative journeys

Longer-term coaching creates space for gradual, meaningful change encompassing multiple areas of your life and work.

All Coaching Sessions Are:

  • Tailored to your individual situation and goals

  • A safe, confidential and supportive space

  • Thoughtful, practical and encouraging

  • Focused on helping you move forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable

Cost:

60 minutes £60

90 minutes £85

New pathways appear when we loosen our grip on old beliefs and take the first step.

I bring my whole practice into the coaching I offer, drawing on many years of creative work alongside meditation, facilitation, mindfulness, voice and physical awareness.

I create a safe and confidential space where you set the pace.

I’ll help you think more clearly about your situation - whatever that may be. Whether you’re facing a change in your life or work; or you want to make changes and aren't sure where/how to start; or you’re stuck in habits that are no longer helpful - together we’ll consider new, practical, future-focused activity to help move you closer to your long term goals.

I offer you empathic support, careful listening and appropriate challenge.

This means our sessions can take different shapes. Sometimes we’ll focus on reflective conversation; sometimes (if you’ve chosen to work with me in this way) we’ll work physically.

Whatever the tools we need, my aim is to help you feel stronger, clearer, more liberated and empowered to move forward in your life.

You don’t have to be a ‘creative person’ to benefit from my approach.

Together we’ll aim high, exploring your true purpose, clarifying your values and moving towards the vision you have of how and who you want to be now.

We’ll acknowledge without judgement what’s been getting in the way. Those old habits: we’ll recognise them with curiosity, build your understanding and self-compassion and explore helpful ways forward.

I’ll check in regularly as our coaching progresses and your journey takes shape.

As you work towards your goals, I will provide you with a variety of tools to try - small, manageable practices, simple things that can shift your perspective and gradually open up new possibilities.

Next steps…

1. Book your free 20 x minute discovery call.

We’d start with an initial 20-minute no-pressure call - online or by phone - free of charge. This is for you to hear about my approach, for me to hear your thoughts around the coaching you’re interested in (even if you’re not sure exactly) and for both of us to see if we feel we can work together.

There’s no pressure to commit at this stage - this initial conversation is often an interesting moment of reflection in itself.

2. Agree a date for our first session.

We’d then agree a date for the first session. This could be 60 or 90 minutes and either in person or online. Some of my clients have monthly sessions, or fortnightly, but I do recommend space between sessions for you to have time and space to consider what’s arising and put new intentions into practice.

Choose a 60 or 90 minute session. I’m based in York, North Yorkshire but travel all over the UK. I’m flexible to suit your diary and your needs.

3. Let the adventure begin!

A series of six sessions works well for many; some prefer to work with blocks of three. I have a few clients for whom one two-hour session every few months is all that’s needed.  I’ll check in regularly with you as our work together progresses.

What’s most important is that the space I offer is useful to YOU!
